Calvary's Property Committee

Accomplishments in 2018

Calvary's property committee is a faithful and dedicated group. They are working behind the scenes constantly to care for our church building and facilities. We are grateful for their willingness to serve and share their gifts.  Below is a list of all they have accomplished during 2018:

  

JANUARY:

  • No heat in Pre-School Office. Repaired gas furnace condensate line.
  • No heat in Parlor and Bathrooms. Replaced defective pressure switch in gas unit.
  • Cleaned kitchen refrigerator and freezer. Disposed of out dated food.
  • Replaced benches in Out-door Chapel.
  • Christmon tree taken down and stored away.
  • Walked roof checking for missing shingles.

FEBRUARY:

  • Replaced defective light fixture for Organ console pedal board.
  • Replaced defective thermostat in office refrigerator.
  • Replaced benches in Out-door Chapel. 
  • Installed service times on Monument sign.
  • Sprayed Church yard for weeds.
  • Fertilized Church yard.
  • Replaced belt on kitchen exhaust fan.
  • Tightened belt on air intake in kitchen.

MARCH:

  • Rack purchased and installed in Sacristy. Used to hang acolyte torches.
  • Lenten Cross drapes installed on cross on hill in front of Church.
  • Replaced benches in Out-door Chapel.
  • Provided Lenten meal.
  • Painted Sacristy.
  • Geranium tree erected before Easter and removed following Easter. 
  • Caulked flashing on the steeple. Leak responsible for stain in the Sanctuary ceiling. 

APRIL:

  • Replaced drain line in small sink in Pre-School classroom.
  • Repaired closet handle and lock in Pre-School classroom.
  • Replaced faucet cartridge in Pre-School classroom sink.
  • Cleaned kitchen refrigerator and freezer. Disposed of out dated food.
  • Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot.
  • Repaired irrigation system. Installed hose spigot by picnic shelter.
  • Removal of excess wood from the Out-door Chapel repair project.
  • Re-attach peeling wallpaper in bathrooms.
  • Repaired deteriorated door from on outside door by organ.
  • Replaced burned out bulbs in parking lot.

MAY:

  • Removal of dead trees around the Out-door Worship area.
  • Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot.
  • Removal of dead shrubs.
  • Painted Administration hallway.
  • Replaced leak damaged ceiling tiles in classroom.
  • Caulked leaking flashing. 
  • Weed control at the Out-Door Chapel.
  • Repaired kitchen air conditioner unit.
  • Repaired Fellowship Hall air conditioner unit.

JUNE:  

  • Repaired Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary HVAC units.

JULY: 

  • Sanded and sealed the Outdoor Worship Chapel pews.
  • Applied weed control to Church parking lot and Church landscape beds.
  • Pruned Church landscaping.
  • Replaced HVAC filters.
  • Changed light bulbs within the Church.
  • HVAC repair in ?????????????
  • Repaired door leading to the outside by the organ.
