Calvary's Property Committee

Calvary's property committee is a faithful and dedicated group. They are working behind the scenes constantly to care for our church building and facilities. We are grateful for their willingness to serve and share their gifts.  

Below is a list of all they have accomplished during the past year.

JANUARY 2020:  

• Chrismon Tree, Wreaths and Garland taken down and stored away.
• Removed and repositioned Alter and platform for Piano recital.
• Repaired HVAC unit in Administration Wing.
• Repaired Sanctuary heating unit.
• Conducted Fire Marshal visit.
• Repaired Narthex Fire Doors.
• Painted 2 Administrative offices.

FEBRUARY:  

• Sprayed Church yard and Parking Lot for weeds.
• Replaced door closer on Pre-School office door.
• Repaired sticking Nursery emergency door.
• Fertilized and limed Church yard.

MARCH:

•  Purple Lenten Cross drapes installed on cross on hill in front of Church.
• Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot. 
• Contracted with the City for hardwood mulch.

APRIL:

• White Lenten Cross drapes installed on cross on hill in front of Church
• Replaced burned out bulbs in the parking lot.
• Bryan and Kyle did an excellent job of getting the Church up and running with streaming via you tube.
• Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot.
• Planted flowers in areas outside entrance to Church.
• Sprayed lawn for weeds.
• Checked roof for storm damage and bell tower for leaks.
• Re-attached wall/floor molding in nursery.
• Installed emergency light in stairwell leading to attic.
• Secured face masks from Kyle and FEMA.  

MAY:  

• Pruned shrubs around Church.
• Replaced dead batteries in exit and emergency lights. 
• Treated grounds for fire ants and weeds.
• Cleaned out refrigerator and freezer.
• Checked all plumbing in preparation of startup.
• Ordered necessary sanitizing material.

JUNE:    

• Changed HVAC air filters in Educational and Administrative Wing units. 
• Removed white drape on outdoor Cross.
• Continued to ready Church for start-up.
• Pruned shrubs around Church.
• Made hand sanitizer.

JULY: 

• Applied weed control to Church parking lot and Church landscape beds.
• Pruned Church landscaping.
• Removed dead shrubs.
• Converted Stain Glass Window lights to LED.
• Converted Monument Sign lights to LED.
• Started well to keep pump from locking up.

AUGUST: 

• Treated grounds for fire ants and weeds.
• Pruned Church shrubbery.
• Fire extinguisher inspections.

SEPTEMBER: 

• Repaired underground plumbing issue.
• Replaced Balcony HVAC unit.
• Treated grounds for fire ants and weeds.
• Pruned Church shrubbery.
• Richard prepped and started to paint the stairway to Heaven.
• Fertilized, Limed, Seeded and Plugged selected lawn areas.

OCTOBER: 

• Treated grounds for fire ants.
• Repaired Kitchen freezer.
• Replaced HVAC roof exhaust vent cap.
• Checked all emergency lights and signs for dead batteries.
• Replaced Kitchen HVAC unit.
• Cleaned Kitchen Freezer.
• Blocked off selective pews in order to follow mandate of 6 foot separation between occupants.

NOVEMBER: 

• Well shut down and lines drained for the winter.
• Kitchen refrigerator cleaned.
• Repaired electrical short in Kitchen and Fellowship Hall HVAC units.
• Up graded Church Wi-Fi.
• Richard painted the stairway to Heaven as well as the water damage in the Fellowship Hall.

DECEMBER: 

• Erected Chrismon Tree and the wreaths.
• Replaced exhaust fan motor in men’s restroom.
• Entered into a HVAC maintenance agreement with G&S Metal.  

JANUARY 2021:

• Chrismon Tree, Wreaths and Garland taken down and stored away.
• Replaced thermostat in Pastors office
• Secured Sanctuary painting quotes.
• Cleaned kitchen hood and exhaust duct.

FEBRUARY:

• Sprayed Church yard and Parking Lot for weeds.
• Fertilized and limed Church yard.
• Washed Kitchen from top to bottom.
• Cleaned Kitchen cupboards.
• Repaired dishwasher.
• Purple Lenten Cross drapes installed on cross on hill in front of Church.

MARCH:

• Secured Kitchen cleaning quotes.
• Cleaned Kitchen from top to bottom.
• Painted Kitchen.
• Repaired Sanctuary ceiling.
• Painted Sanctuary.
• Checked all plumbing in preparation of startup.
• Marked off area in Fellowship for Congregation to sit for services.
• Cleaned Sanctuary for Palm Sunday Service.
• Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot. 
• Contracted with the City for hardwood mulch. 
• Repaired ice machine.
• Removed 2 dead trees from Church property.
• Applied black top to a portion of the Church parking lot.
• Put the Kitchen back in order.
• Produced and provided hand sanitizer for Wincoff School faculty bags.

APRIL:

• White Lenten Cross drapes installed on cross on hill in front of Church.
• Replaced burned out bulbs in the parking lot.
• Pruned shrubs around Church and sprayed weeds in beds and parking lot.
• Attached pencil holders to Balcony pews.
• Started well to keep pump from locking up as well as usage in Youth Garden

MAY:

• Pruned shrubs around Church.
• Replaced dead batteries in exit and emergency lights. 
• Treated grounds for fire ants and weeds.
• Cleaned out refrigerator and freezer.
• Checked all plumbing in preparation of startup.
• Sprayed lawn for weeds.
• Removed white drape on outdoor Cross.
• Readied Church for full Congregation.
• Applied weed control to Church parking lot and Church landscape beds.
• Fire Marshal inspection.

JUNE:  

• Changed HVAC air filters in Educational and Administrative Wing units. 
• Pruned shrubs around Church.
• Removed dead shrubs.
• Fire extinguisher inspections.

JULY:
