A small group to intentionally develop disciples or followers of Christ will meet for 9 weeks and explore the theme: “Fruit of the Spirit”. Pastor Debbie will lead the group on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m in her office . Fruit of the Spirit is taken from the Apostle Paul’s letter to Galatians (Galatians 5: 22-23), his list of nine qualities that the Holy Spirit intends to develop in the Body of Christ: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If you would like to be a part of this small group, please speak to Pastor Debbie.
For most of the coming year, our Gospel lessons will come from Mark. To help us get ready to hear and understand these readings, we are taking time to study and learn this unique Gospel. We will look at its origins, author, and the community it was written for. We will look at some of the unique aspects of the Gospel. And we will explore some of its reoccurring themes. Most importantly, we will discover its importance for us today. Join us in the parlor at 6:15 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, January 10. The class will be led by James Foré.
