The Beautiful Intersection Of Faith and Science
This summer, starting June 10th during Sunday School at 10:00 a.m., I invite you into a journey of deeper exploration of awe and wonder about God, our amazing universe, and the meaning of life. Resources for the journey will be the book, Finding God in the Waves: How I Lost My Faith and Found It Again Through Science by Mike McHargue (Science Mike), videos, articles, and podcasts that speak about faith and science in dialog, and our own stories of faith, doubt, and seeking God in the questions of life. Pastor Debbie will facilitate this journey, and we will meet in the screen end of the fellowship hall through July.
Join us this summer for another synod-wide Bible reading opportunity brought to you by the synod's Engage the Bible Task Group: a Book of Faith ministry. This year's study is Remarkable Mark and will begin July 15. The Gospel of Mark is written in a straightforward style that doesn't mince words. Make plans to join us as we get to know more about the Gospel of Mark and each other through this study!
You can access this Bible study in three ways:
How are you growing in your life of discipleship? Do you have a plan to reach your vision of what God is calling you to be about?
Over the last six months, Pastor Debbie and Deacon Mike Holt have been trained in coaching through the ELCA with a focus on walking with disciples to set and live into their goals for themselves.
We invite you to reach out to us with your questions about coaching and to let us know if you want to give coaching a try. We are here as a resource for you in the journey of faith. Everyone has a different path of discipleship. We can all benefit from someone to come along side of us and help us name our target and set goals to get there.
